Life Imitating Seinfeld

Remember that scene in Seinfeld when Jerry and George are pitching their sitcom idea about nothing to Russell at NBC?

George says, "It's about nothing!"
Russell responds, "Then why are people watching it?"
George answers, "Cause it's on TV."
"Not yet it isn't."

Well, I think there's a lot of truth to what George said. Every time I see the trailer for Step Brothers, I can't believe how bad the movie must be if the trailer is this bad. Then I see how it brought in like $30MM its opening weekend, exceeded expectations.

I assume that Will Ferrell can star in "Up with Nazis" and it'll open at number one (then again, that does sound pretty funny)

Mel Brooks created the musical-within-a-musical "Springtime for Hitler" in "The Producers", the movie version of which starred Will Ferrell as the Nazi-in-hiding who wrote "Springtime for Hitler". So you're right. Will Ferrell essentially starred in a production of "Up with Nazis" and it did really well.

You are quite a hoot, as they say in the southern region where I grew up.

And Will Ferrell does turn in some funny performances.
