Paying Extra For Variety

This has always bothered me...

I can understand cashews and almonds being more expensive than peanuts but shouldn't a "mix" be priced somewhere in between, like $1.50? (the bag is the same size)

Obviously you have to figure in the cart-owner's time for mixing the nuts for you.

And who knows what other kinds of nuts are only available in the mix? Maybe some uber-expensive Brazil nuts and pistachios.

caitlin,

that's a good point, it's an extra handful he's gotta do.

anonymous,

next time, i'll ask - even throwing in "uber-expensive" to my question.

Sorry that the mini-window gods made me seem anonymous.

no worries David,

actually, I'm often up late wondering "Who is David?"

in a way, you are anonymous - unless I do know you, in which case, mea culpa (Do i know you?)

you act like you don't know any Davids. Don't you remembered he poked you the other day?

As a mixed bag myself, speaking for other mixed bags, the Count thinks we should be worth more than other nuts.

Hey Count,

As the former owner of a mutt, I totally agree.

You don't know me but you wish you did.

I'm still waiting for you to bring your stand up to DC - or maybe I can make it to one of your gigs in the NY area but that would be far less convenient.

Cheers

Is that cause you're in the industry? Or cause you're awesome?

I will try to book something in DC area in late summer...I'll keep ya posted.

Nope, not industry. Probably not even awesome - just your fun of the mill smart-ass. I feel so mysterious today. Really, I’m just an average Joe, retired Fed, living in DC. On the other hand, I have been to 6 of the 7 continents.

I'll be watching for you to get to DC on stage.

Cheers
