McSweeny's list submission?
Hey Chris,
It already was... you think more of it than they did.

Here's the frustrating thing with McSweeney's... I've had these list submissions... Awesome list submissions... I'd send them in and wait. A few weeks later, I'd get an email that says "Thanks for the submission, but we'll pass on this one". Then, I go to McSweeney's website and see the lists that "make the cut" and see this:
Unlikely Disasters.
BY GABE KOPLOWITZ
- - - -
Sun and moon collision
All eyeballs turn to wood
Tornado made of fire
Sea mammals attack world's financial centers
Mountains leave
Colin Firthquake
Seriously McSweeney's?
Hey Chris,
With writing, much as I've found with comedy, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
Beauty is like that, too.

I know, but tornado made of fire? Was that Dave Eggers nephew's list?
I hear ya, and I also know it's tough not to, but there's always gonna be stuff you think sux that finds success (most comics seem to HATE Dane Cook) - Best to just try and worry about yourself
Granted, I thought the above list was McSweeney's worthy, but to be honest, I've thought other stuff was McSweeney's worthy when submitted, but upon reading a few months later, realized that it sucked.
